RS-422/485 Serial Adapter, Includes PDA7420

The PDA7422 is an RS-422/485 Adapter that provides a method to connect a PD765 series meter to your computer. (Using RS-422 or RS-485 serial networks allows more than one meter to be connected at one time. The RS-422/485 Bus connects using the removable screw terminal.

The PDA7422 includes a PDA7420 2.1m [7'] Cable .

The PD7422 has a removable screw terminal connector for the RS-422/485 terminals.

Signals include:

Transmit Data (DO) and (/DO)
Receive Data (DI) and (/DI)
Signal Ground

Baud rates are adjustable by programming the PD765 (the Instruction Manual has more details).

ThePDA7422 has three diagnostic LEDs:

Power (P) LED to shows adapter is powered properly
Transmit Data (TX) LED shows the adapter is sending data out
Receive Data (RX) LED shows adapter is receiving data from the PD765 meter.
